Ollie Randall (b.1993) is a writer, historian and cartoonist. He is the author of Writers in Whites: How a group of literary cricketers changed English culture, available to order online here. Between 2022 and 2026, he carried out a PhD at King’s College London about London’s cricket-playing writers (1887-1968).
Ollie regularly publishes articles in the Times Literary Supplement (see his contributor page here) and elsewhere. His first peer-reviewed scholarly article, ‘Cricket, Literary Culture and In-Groups in Early Twentieth-Century Britain,’ was published in Transactions of the Royal Historical Society in 2024; his second scholarly article is awaiting publication. He has collaborated on history projects with a former leader of the House of Lords and with the team at The Rest is History.
Ollie also works as a cartoonist, specialising in weddings and events – see his dedicated website – and works as a tour manager on cultural tours. His first degree was in Ancient and Medieval History, and his second was in Creative Writing, both at the University of Oxford.
Ollie is based in Oxford.
